BAR/BAT MITZVAH AND FAMILY TOURS
JEWISH HERITAGE TOUR OF BUDAPEST, VIENNA, PRAGUE
A Jewish Heritage tour to Central Europe is a moving, culturally enlightening and truly enjoyable way to travel as a family. Explore the fabled palaces, castles, monuments and Jewish heritage sites of three European capitals: Budapest in Hungary, Vienna in Austria, and Prague in the Czech Republic. Enjoy wonderful food, beautiful music, and incredible architecture in both city and countryside. Stay in world-class, luxury hotels, where the service is impeccable and personal.
Jewish history and culture in this region are strong and meaningful. Visiting historic synagogues, Prague’s ancient Jewish cemetery, Holocaust monuments and the Terezin Concentration Camp will be unforgettable experiences.
We offer the opportunity for a Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebration in Budapest at a small gem of a “Neolog” synagogue, where we attend Friday night services followed by a Shabbat morning Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebration. This is also an opportunity to meet and chat informally with the rabbi and warm friendly congregants after services at the “kiddush.” Neolog is a variation of traditional Orthodox Judaism using a Conservative prayer book that exists only in Central Europe. Despite the language gap, the familiar Shabbat service creates a common bond that makes everyone feel at home. The festivities culminate with dinner at the world-renowned Gundel Restaurant serenaded by Gypsy violinists.
A trip to Central Europe is an extraordinary way to celebrate a child’s Bar/Bat Mitzvah, to connect with your Jewish heritage, to enjoy a wonderful vacation and to create lasting cherished family memories.
Tours are offered to suit your dates and budget.
