We offer the opportunity for a Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebration in Budapest at a small gem of a “Neolog” synagogue, where we attend Friday night services followed by a Shabbat morning Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebration. This is also an opportunity to meet and chat informally with the rabbi and warm friendly congregants after services at the “kiddush.” Neolog is a variation of traditional Orthodox Judaism using a Conservative prayer book that exists only in Central Europe. Despite the language gap, the familiar Shabbat service creates a common bond that makes everyone feel at home. The festivities culminate with dinner at the world-renowned Gundel Restaurant serenaded by Gypsy violinists.
